Review
File Security Manager is an application that enables you to restrict access to specific folders on your computer to other users. If you have private information in a file or a folder, you can forbid other users from using it. Sometimes you have to share you computer with other people (at your job, for instance) and you do not want anyone to read some files. This program is ideal to keep your files untouched and maintain your privacy.
The program is very easy to use. When you first launch the application, you will need to browse your computer for the directories you want to lock or unlock. You can block an entire folder but still allow access to a file in that folder.
To lock a folder or drive, you just browse for it directly from the program's main window, hit the 'security' button and then press 'permissions'. Once you have done that, you will be able to choose who can view the files or give special permissions to some users. Maybe you would like to let someone read the files but prevent them from editing or deleting them. |
